Software update rollback Is it possible?
location: droidradar.com - date: January 1, 1970
My Galaxy Note 2 notified me of a software update which I had to download a few months ago. I didn't have WiFi access at the time so I postponed it and eventually got a new router with fast WiFi about a week ago. I proceeded to approve the update and it took almost 8 hours to download and eventually install. It was over 300mb.
I now absolutely hate my phone!!!!! The new software totally sucks. I had set everything up to my liking and it's all changed. It has this auto complete function that puts in whatever it damn-well pleases when you type a text message or email. I Googled how to turn it off, went into the settings to turn it off and it was already set to off. I turned it on, went out, restarted the phone and went back into the settings and turned it off again restarting the phone again. No bloody joy.
There are websites with entire sections dedicated to the stupid things this feature put into peoples text messages and emails when apple did this and now android goes and does the s
"Jellybean" Software Update was a TERRIBLE Decision, Want "Ice Cream Sandwich" Back..

I have never had a smart phone before about 6 months ago - and finally got used to this one.
Anyway, I was prompted for a software update yesterday evening. Didn't think much of it, hit update, waited the ~15mins and reboot time.
Nevertheless, I was SHOCKED when the phone was functional again:
It was literally like a whole new phone. I made a list and could name NUMEROUS things I absolutely hated about it. I am an incredibly particular person as well (and obsessive compulsive.) Notably, the OK and Cancel buttons were flipped in various screens - WHO DESIGNED THIS AND CHANGES SUCH IMPORTANT BUTTONS ??
I was very close to throwing my phone out the car window.
Well the next day I immediately went to one local Verizon store, which informed me there was nothing they could do. I just wanted to go back in time, and erase the update I had done!!! Shouldn't be THAT difficult.....!!
He gave me LG customer service number, even though the problem seemed to be a DROID operating system one. T

Anyone know what the software update was my phone ran this AM? Not finding any documentation on what the update included...
Never Mind... Just found it..
The update will add support for Isis Mobile Wallet, fix power cycling issues, improve Bluetooth clarity, and include new security patches. In other words, it’s a pretty minor update, but still an update nonetheless.
HTC Desire C Bricked on Software Update
location: droidmania.com - date: December 25, 2013
I was offered a system update on my HTC Desire C and I accepted it. While it was downloading/ installing I was moving in and out of cell coverage. It got stuck on the "HTC Quietly Brilliant" screen for 2 hours.
I turned it off and it won't get past that point now. It will just get to that screen and stay there for hours. I tried hard factory reset. No help.
I don't know how to fix it. Can anyone help?

Seems to be a lot of talk about 4.3 and 4.4 testing. Has anyone heard anything about a possible update of the M's software?

Mega software update ?
location: droidmania.com - date: January 15, 2014
My mega had a prompt for me to update the software this morning. I opted to postpone it for 6 hrs (you have this option) until I know more about it.
It said once you update you cannot downgrade to old version.
It also says it's for improved stability ,but my mega works like a champ.
It also says it's for Compatibility with Galaxy Gear.
It's 77.83 MB
Anyone have any additional info ?
PS: I'm not rooted and it's a MetroPCS Mega.
