Battery Life Tips and Myths
location: droidradar.com - date: May 12, 2013
There is a great deal of information, and misinformation, floating around these forums and other sites about how to maximize battery life. Iíve decided to try to distill information from reliable sources into a single post that can serve as a reference. This particular write-up is based on the Samsung Galaxy S3, but should be, for the most part, applicable to any Android phone (and probably most other smartphones). A few general comments before I begin: These tips are, except where noted, generally accepted or documented to be accurate. If you have reason to think something is wrong, or that Iíve missed something, let me know. If you can provide evidence, Iím happy to revise this. I donít claim infallibility.Iíve divided these tips up into several groups: Tips that donít compromise functionality significantly; tips that will increase battery life at the expense of some functionality; internet myths that donít work at all or cause more problems than they solve, and things you can tr

***MOTO G BATTERY TIPS & TRICKS THREAD***
Hello fellow Moto G users! As we all know, our shiny new phones get great battery life right out of the box... but a little more is always better, right? The purpose of this thread is to share bits of knowledge on how to squeeze the most juice out of our batteries. Feel free to post any personal tips you may have, or correcct anything that may not be accurate. What works for one might not work for another, so let's see what we can come up with I'll start...
P.S. please do not post your battery usage screenshots here, there is already a thread for that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2538691
- Mobile data can be a huge battery drain, specifically 3G/4G. Use wifi when possible, and also if you know you are not going to be using your phone for a while (e.g. at work), set your preferred network to 2G. The long way to do it is Settings>More>Mobile Networks>Network Mode. There are apps in the play stor

Ok so I searched for battery life and Battery Life Tips but couldn't find anything that gave helpful info about things you can do to make sure you get the best performance out of your Desire HD.
I have a bog standard battery that came with the phone and I must not have trained it properly because I've had it a year and it now doesn't last through the night.
I could normally go to bed with it fully charged and it would still have 80% or more of the battery but last night I went to bed at about midnight, it had 85% battery and I woke up this morning at about 8.45am to fiind it was dead!!
Needless to say I've bought a new battery thats apparently a 1600mAh battery but I am not expecting miracles as it only cost me £5!!
The reason I'm here today is to just see if anyone has any professional tips for how to keep the battery working as long as it can... whats the best way to train the battery at the beginning? do I fully charge it and then just let it run down to 0

Hey guys!!! As maybe some of you have notice, I am currently new on this forum so this is my first thread to be created in here. First of all I apologize if some similar thread has been created related to this but I felt like it'll be fun to make this.;
How about you guys post your highest battery span you ever had with your battery. Of course it has to be on LG Esteem phone. So I would like everyone to post their longest time on battery ever(or try to break the current record) in this thread .
This will not only shows how far can the LG esteem really last under a smart management but also we could have some information and tips on how, for example I made my phone to last that long. This will help new people and us in search of tips for their battery life experience for the LG esteem.
REMINDER. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO THE EXTENDED BATTERY.
Well Here is my record !!! can you beat it?
got I lil surprise . it lasted me a whole day plus I forgot to put to charge when I went

So it feels like my battery life is getting worse and worse but I'm not sure if that's because I've been texting more but lately my Aria isn't even lasting a day anymore, having to charge it halfway through the day which I can't do as a student.
Anybody have any tips perhaps?
-No live wallpapers.
-Screen on auto brightness.
-Bluetooth turned off.
-WiFi turned off.
-GPS turned off.
-Data turned off
Don't know what else to list...
and if it matters, I'm using Fr0008? 2.2

Better Battery Life Tips
I've been using (and tweaking) Android devices since the original HTC Dream (aka G1, Android Dev Phone) was released, and I've had devices that are both good and bad at power consumption. In this thread I will share what I have learned and invite you to share what you have learned as well so that we can all get the most out of our devices.
Please note that I like to keep my smartphones "smart" and don't like to be manually toggling things on and off throughout the day. If you like to geek out 24x7 you can manually turn on/off every feature of your phone every time you use it to conserve juice... that's not me though!
Here we go...
-Consider a Different Browser
It seems like Opera Mobile and Mini are the kings of battery conservation. I tried Dolphin, Boat, Firefox, Chrome, the stock browser, and about 10 others... I didn't see significant differences in battery with any of them, but with Opera I noticed the difference. It makes sense since

Also when I am out with my friends, and on Twitter/Instagram/etc. my battery just drains by the minute it seems. Any tips & tricks out there for me to make my battery actually last a full day? Thanks!
How to Improve Battery life Tips and Tricks
location: droidradar.com - date: July 21, 2012
I have always wondered why people complain about battery life when there are ways to improve battery life.
Before i start let me tell you that I get about 48 to 72 hrs battery life and i have a Nexus S phone. Most of the time i get 72 hrs and some time for 4 days when i dont make a lot of calls or use my phone.
Note: Tip 2 is my biggest battery saver. Tip 1- Reduce the battery brightness to automatic or low.
sure the screen is hard to read at bright sun light but you can increase the brightness at that time using the toggle widget. I, most of the time dont use phone outside so it works for me.keeping the settings at automatic might help. i keep it at low. Tip 2- Make your wifi go to deep sleep mode when not in use.
here is the settings to do that. Go to Settings-->Wifi-->Menu-->Advanced-->Keep Wifi on during sleep-->[Select option Never]
This will make sure your wifi switches itself off when you dont use it for long like at night.
