FIX for HTC HD2 touch screen not responding
location: androidpark.com - date: July 15, 2012
After reading several posts to find a cure for my HTC HD2 unresponsive touch screen,( Slider wont slide to open applications), I decided to verify a theory. Software... Digitalizer screen, or power button.
Ok, first I Instelled about six different android versions, and the screen slide still failed. I reverted the cell back to original t-mobile windows software, and still locked screen.
Conclussion: The sofware is not the problem.
After several attempts pressing the red power button, I got the slider to open. Briefly, it locked again. Pressed the red button hard and tried to work the slide on the touch screen. Again briefly worked. After several more attempts I got it to slide and while the phone was awake, everything worked perfect. I played games, oppened applications, texted, made phone calls, and the touch screen worked flawless.
Conclussion: The digitalizer (Thin top glass sc

process system is not responding
location: droidradar.com - date: January 11, 2013
I've been using my galaxy sII for very happy 1 and a half years. This morning for the first time ever I can't start my phone!! Every single boot ends up on a reboot after about a minute of normal startup on the latest Android version, Jelly Bean, and then a msgbox screen comes up with a message that became a nightmare message to me for the last hour "process system is not responding". It lasts a few seconds and the system reboots itself.
Process system is not responding?
location: droidradar.com - date: March 4, 2012
Out of the blue, I'm getting that error and it just keeps rebooting with a white LED flashing.
Phone is two days old. Last installed app is Handscent messaging. and it worked fine.
Thoughts before I take it in?
Can't pull the battery out like I'm used to doing.
Flash attempt = Reboot+"Sorry! Process system is not responding." + Red Battery Icon

Alright, I got my droid 1 running froyo rooted successfully using this method:
No issues there, went exactly as planned. Then I went here to begin the flashing process:
Motorola Droid Full Solution Updated
As soon as I used RSD Lite 4.6 to "Flash SPRecovery_ESE81.sbf file," the phone restarted and now continuously reboots, the battery icon is red with a slash through it, and as soon as a reboot completes I see this error:
"Sorry! Process system is not responding."
From there I can choose a force quit or a wait option, neither really seem to make a difference, if I leave the phone alone it will stay on, but as soon as I unlock it and start looking around or doing anything, it crashes and reboots. I've tried several different things, starting up by holding down x and doing a reset, but that had absolutely zero effect, and that's where I stopped because I'm s
HOWTO: Fix Home Button not responding
location: androidpark.com - date: May 16, 2013
If you have a non-functional home button in Android, especially AOSP/CM, here's how you fix it.
I take no credit for this fix but I wiped data for CalvinAmi for his broken phone that I'm fixing up with CM 7 and this symptom started and a data wipe didn't fix it. So I looked around for a fix and I found a pretty simple one though it's a long command.
Normally, you'd have to do a full wipe including system and reflash of ROm and reinstall to address this.
Without further ado:
Credit H:S in the CyanogenMod forums. Thank you!
Update: Added a runnable script that can be run with script manager or any other app that can run scripts. You may need to change to .sh or just run with script manager (with root permissions) and reboot when it's done.
I wanted to add this should work for later CM versions though it hasn't been tested as I haven't run into the issue.
[SOLUTION] Process system not responding
location: androidpark.com - date: July 27, 2011
I've seen this happen over and over, actually it just happened to me again after going Happy Gilmore on some system edits. The typical reaction is to change kernel, restore a backup, etc. Here's a way that works without changing anything.
Wait 30 seconds after the message appears
Click close and then verify, by turning screen on and off, that the device is not frozen.
Open the battery door and take the battery out for 3 seconds
Replace the battery and cover
Hold volume down and press power, keeping the volume key pressed.
Select recovery using volume down, and press power.
Use volume down to scroll to Advanced
Press power to select.
Repeat selection process for wipe dalvik-cache, followed by fix permissions
Press back to return to the main menu, where reboot device should be selected.
Press power to reboot
Thank your Android device for complying.
This seems like a long process when written out, but this prevents the usual "how do I..." and "what order did you..."
LauncherPro Activity "Not Responding" Problem
location: droidmania.com - date: November 30, 2010
Being Playing around with LauncherPro (free for now) for the past week or so.
I notice that when I try certain function such as the following:
(1) Add to Home Screen -> Shortcuts -> Applications
(2) Long click a dock item to Edit Dock Shortcut -> Swipe Gesture Action -> Launch Shortcut -> Activities
...I ALWAYS get a BLANK BLACK screen and the phone hangs. After a minute or so (or less if I hit Home key or Back key) I will eventually get an error message that says the following:
Sorry Activity Activities (in application LauncherPro) is not responding
I then have the option to Force Close, Wait, Report
After I choose one of the above options, USUALLY I finally get the screen with the activities or applications that I can choose from. Adding a shortcut "Application" to a home screen has the hang(and usual error) but the hang is shorter than if I try to choose from "Activities" or attempt to add an activity to a swipe gesture action.
Problem with: Activity (Go launcher EX) is not responding
location: androidpark.com - date: September 28, 2011
I have a big problem with OS. For about two days sometimes it's getting extreme lag and then shows such FC message: Activity GoLauncher EX (e.g.) is not responding. Battery getting really hot and drains down extremely fast. what could be causing such behaviour? The phone is completely unusable because of this issue.
Oh, one thing - the problem disappear when I remove SD card. But Every app I have is stored on the phone. Also I didn't install anything new for a few days.
