Free German English Dictionary
location: androidpark.com - date: September 23, 2007
there is a pretty cool site that is a free and very comprehensive German-English dictionary. It also offers you a possibility to download it's database which is under 5 MB. Now there are several programmes (some GPL) that run on a PC and use this database and one even is Java based but it does not run using the midlet manager.
I think it would be so great if I could get this run on my WM5. The owner of the site could post it two so that everybody can have a great free dictionary.
the site is called dict.cc (http://www.dict.cc/?l=e)
here are the links to the programme pages that use the database:
this one got a .jar version of the programme which does not run on WM5
Could somebody please have a look into this? Maybe it's just small coding that needs to be done.
Thanks a lot. I really appreciate it.
Spanish English Dictionary: very simple to use, very helpfull, and its free
location: droidmania.com - date: June 12, 2010
To start i know spanish, but not that good, this app helps allot like sometimes i use it daily because allot of spanish words i dont know, and this realy helps since i know english more, and this app is very simple to use. The first thing i noticed about this app is that its straight up forward, you look up a word eather in english or spanish and it gives you the word in eather language but in several ways of saying it or spelling it. But the best thing about it is that its free and not very hard to use.
A decent offline english dictionary

...That is not costing a fortune. I can't believe that I need to pay £18 at least for an offline dictionary.
That's the cost of a standard printed version, so a digital copy should cost hald at least!

English dictionary messed up?
location: droidradar.com - date: September 18, 2012
When I first got my HTC One X it would recognize common english words and spell correct them like normal. But just recently it now only recognizes words from my custom dictionary. Simple words like "many" is suggested to be "mané" I can't add every single english word to the custom dictionary manually. I have confirmed all language setting are set to english. Second language is turned off.
Thanks for any advice or help.
Are there any free English to Spanish dictionary apks that I can download to my pc?
location: droidmania.com - date: December 29, 2012
I don't have wi-fi, and was wondering if there are any free English to Spanish or English to Portuguese dictionaries that I can download to my pc and transfer to a microSD card to install on my samsung galaxy tablet? I have downloaded apps to my tablet this way before, and so I know that's possible. Oh, and the dictionaries have to be offline because (like I said) I don't have wi-fi, and I want it to be available anywhere I am, not just near a hotspot.
