Add words to custom dictionary?
location: droidmania.com - date: January 12, 2012
Does anyone know how to add words to the XT9 dictionary on the Warp? Or if it's even possible? I've found multiple threads on adding words but none of the solutions seem to apply to the Warp: either they refer to nonexistent Settings submenu's or nonexistent features or simply say that XT9 will remember it eventually, which it isn't for me. I'm finally getting used to XT9 but do I just need to get a new keyboard app? It's getting incredibly frustrating, it even changes 'gmail' to 'email' making logging in places with my email irritating as hell.
Thanks in advance.

No longer being prompted to add words to dictionary
location: droidmania.com - date: September 1, 2013
Hi everyone. As the subject of this posts would suggest, my Galaxy S3 is not prompting me to add unfamiliar words to the dictionary as I type them out in any application. The back story here is that I just received (two days ago) a new phone as a replacement to my first S3, which had a sudden and terrible battery drain issue, which luckily Samsung replaced for free as it was still under warranty.
As I am slowly setting up this new phone, I am noticing that unlike with the original phone, this new one does not prompt me to add unfamiliar words to the internal device dictionary. For example, if on my previous phone I were to type the word "Grundle," the instant I hit the space bar the phone would have given me the option to add the word "grundle" to the dictionary. Now with this new phone, I type out "grundle," and no prompt.
I have tried exploring and varying all the setting I can find, but still no luck. If anyone can offer any help, it would
adding words to dictionary in android keyboard format
location: droidmania.com - date: September 24, 2010
okie dokie....I cannot seem to find an answer to this although I seem to recall that when I first got the phone that I did it once for one word.
When in Android Keyboard input, if you type in a word that is not in the dictionary, is there a way to save it so that it comes up again in the future and you don't have to type the whole word out each time you use it? It appears that this is the case in swype (which I do not care for) but after a lot of trial and error, I cannot seem to locate a place where you can do this.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
How do I add words to the dictionary on my Galaxy s4?

I got the Galaxy s4 yesterday. I'm going crazy just trying to add word to the dictionary. I can't even get it to spell my own name. It does not have the "personal dictionary" option under "language and input" that I am used to. I took it to Best Buy and three separate techs there played with it and they could not figure it out either.

How do I add words to the dictionary?
location: droidradar.com - date: January 17, 2014
I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini a week ago, but i already struggle with the limitations concerning the dictionary.
I can't find a way to add new words as I was used to with my old Samsung Galaxy Pocket. It is very anoying.
Is there any way I can turn this feature on or have Samsung removed this feature for the S4 Mini?
Can I get it by installing another keyboard?
I hope that someone can help me.
Swype Keyboard not adding words to custom dictionary
location: droidradar.com - date: June 27, 2013
seems like since the Jellybean update, I haven't been able to add words to the Swype custom dictionary. This is the stock Swype app, not one purchased from Google Play. Anyone else having this issue.

So everytime I type "****" or "*******" (Ive intentional misspelt them here so that the words are visible. Im sure you know the real spellings), there's no option to save the word. In case I misspell either of them, i've to re-type the entire word to make it right and there's no option to save the word hence. This happens a lot and is becoming a pain. I've notices it's the same with all other slangs, abuses.
