[Fix]Unknown error code during application install: "24"

I don't know the cause. I have noticed that it has happened on different devices, there have been assumptions if it's because of a specific kernel or rom, although it may be, I beg to differ. I feel it is happening during the Android Upgrading Apps # of # process.
I noticed that this error pops up on most of the apps that I had installed, but are not there after my update. So far with me, it happened only to my paid apps, but not all of them.
When the app disappears, android thinks it's missing, but some files think it is still installed.
Regularly when you install an app over itself, there is a notice telling you that the application info will remain. That's where the problem lies once an app mysteriously disappears. Because part of it is still installed.

€Unknown error code during application install: 24€ť HELP PLEASE!

After I restored from a nandroid backup my galaxy S3 was missing apps so I tried to reinstall them but I got an error message of “Unknown error code during application install: -24”
I’ve tried going to sdcard0 -> Data and nothing is there beside 3 apps. I also went to sdcard0 -> Android -> data and there is a list of apps I have but the apps that are missing are not there. From what I read from forums about this error people were saying to delete the apps in the list that are missing or won’t install.
I also tried doing a restore specifically for the apps in titanium backup and they are in the list of missing apps section with a line crossed through them. When I tried restoring it just sits there at 0% and never gains progress. I’ve tried restoring with the app data and without.
I have a

I'm running a XOOM with the newest software, I believe 4.1.2, right?
I had Minecraft PE a while ago, and had to uninstall for some reason. I wanted to go re-install it, and now I can't. It's giving me an "unknown error code" of "-24" after it downloads and tries to install it. It's really driving me nuts, would be glad if anyone could help. Thanks in advance.

Got this error when trying to install an app. Did some Googling and the only solutions have been either a factory reset or deleting a folder, only you have to be rooted.
I'm not rooted so is there any other solution. It's not a big enough deal for a factory reset, so if rooting is the only other option, I'll just deal without the app for now.

[Mac/Linux] ADB guide to rooting and installing CWM on the Fusion 2 (UPDATED 3/24/2013)
location: droidmania.com - date: March 19, 2013
Thanks to shagerty for the original guide, I found it very helpful, but it did have me work around problems like my back cover being a PITA to take off to finish the fastboot step! I'm also a Mac user, so it just added to the difficulty. Luckily I pulled out the files I needed, and just used my existing ADB setup to do it.
This is mainly an OS X guide (all versions that support the Android SDK), but it should work on Linux too.
Step 1 - If you don't already have it, install the Android SDK from here:
Android SDK | Android Developers
Make sure you add it to your PATH environment (Google it ). You can run it from the folder (I keep mine in Documents) but it just adds too many extra steps when all I COULD be doing is opening Terminal and typing "adb whatever".
Step 2 - Download these two zips:
Huawei Fusion 2 Recovery Root
CWM Recovery Tools

If anything doesn't work, or you don't follow directions based on this guide, I will not be held responsible for any outcomes. You are choosing to do this 100% on your own, I am only providing the information to get started. At this point, you are taking your actions into your own hands and are warned about your decisions.
The purpose of this is to familiarize you with setting up Android SDK for Windows. After reading through this tutorial, hopefully you will be able to feel a little more comfortable with setting it up and using it. I will tell you how to set it up, and after that, if you are a little more comfortable you can place the folders wherever you like for a little more convenience for yourself, but as for this tutorial, I am going to have a set destination for everything. So let's begin.
