Updated Weather App + Widget [DOWNLOAD]
location: droidmania.com - date: June 6, 2013
Here is the Weather App and Weather Widget from the LG Optimus Exceed (Prepaid version of the Lucid, VS840PP). I thought it looked nicer so I decided to install it.
Here is the link: VS840PP-LGWeatherAppWidget.zip
And an image of the widget:
To install it you have to remove the Wiper.apk, Wiper.odex, WeatherWidget.apk, and WeatherWidget.odex files from /system/app . Before removing them, you should also delete the cache and data for these apps. Then install the Wiper.apk, WeatherMultiCPbin.apk, and WeatherThemebin.apk. They are deodexed already because for some reason they didn't work otherwise. I used adb push to install the apks, for example "adb push Wiper.apk /system/app/Wiper.apk" then just restart the phone and it should be installed and working.
On a side note the VS840PP has a lot of the bloat removed compared to our VS840.
HTC weather app/widget with sound on my samsung galaxy s4
location: droidradar.com - date: October 26, 2013
I have been searching for months on end and just cannot find any information or anything.
what it is I have the Samsung galaxy s4 i9505, but I really want to get the stock HTC/ HTC one weather app/widget whatever you call it installed onto my S4. as that's the only phone that currently gives sounds for the weather,
Now I have tried installing fancy widgets, beautiful widgets, goweather, and lots more weather apps, and they all seem to do the animations which is fantastic but not one has SOUND.
im surprised the stock weather app on the s4 doesn't have sound to be honest. is this just an HTC thing with the sound or am I missing something.
I cannot find any apps or widgets anywhere. can anybody maybe point me to where I can download the HTC weather app/widget onto my s4 but with sound. im guessing the APK file
hope somebody can help me anyway

[Q] Best method to use with a clock widget: Handler or BroadcastReceiver?
location: androidpark.com - date: August 14, 2013
I have created a widget that displays a digital clock, I have it done in two different ways, using a Handler and using a BroadcastReceiver to display the actual time with seconds, both of them work, however, I'd like to understand which one is better in terms of battery saving (because of the constant update), performance, functionality, etc. I would appreciate your comments on this, thank you.

[Q] Clock Widget Bug Daylight Saving Time
location: androidpark.com - date: November 12, 2010
I´m facing an issue with the clock widget, can you help me on that?
Here in Brazil were under the daylight saving time. There is: here we are GMT-3, however, as per the saving time, we will be for the next months GMT-2.
I´ve configured the device, automaticaly, to be GMT-2. The calender time is ok and perfect with that. Also, that "desk clock" app and my alarms are working fine. Notwithstanding, the clock that appears at the bottom of the screen (aside to the battery icon) is quite fine too.
However, the widget clock keeps showing GMT-3. There is: all my device is working fine with GMT-2 (saving time), but the clock widget do not adapt itself as GMT-3 (saving time).
Do you guys have any idea on that?
