location: droidradar.com - date: February 1, 2015
After updating to stock android lollipop, I am not able to create SIP accounts in stock dialer. It is possible to access SIP settings however accounts do not save and disappear after dialer is closed. Does anyone have this problem? Maybe there is a workaround?

List of android mobiles supporting VOIP/SIP
location: droidmania.com - date: February 15, 2011
hi , i heard that only android 2.3 platform devices will support VOIP/SIP .Even among the devices which have android 2.3 some does not support SIP.
According to Google android documentation
If you are developing an application that uses the SIP API, remember that the feature is supported only on Android 2.3 (API level 9) and higher versions of the platform. Also, among devices running Android 2.3 (API level 9) or higher, not all devices will offer SIP support.
can any one give me the list of mobiles that support SIP?
SIP Stack registration packet with authorization
location: droidmania.com - date: March 12, 2012
we want to create SIP application on Android 2.3.3 and have some issues with android.sip stack (default sip stack). Our mobile app sends register sip packet, but 1.) by default OpenIMS core responds 400 Bad request P-Visited-Network-ID Header missing 2.) in the case that we set port number to 4060 -PCSCF /builder.setPort(4060)/ OpenIMS core sends this request from 4060 to 4060 (same port, same IP, same CSCF, same packet) and this is cykling until OpenIMS core send respond to mobile app - 504 Server Time-out. We also tried SipDemo, CSipSimple and we had same problems. When we tried Monster Communicator or IMSDroid, then it works!
There is one difference between working and problematic applications - working apps send register packet also with Authorization field.

CM9/CM10 Native SIP issues (incoming works, outgoing no audioin/out)
location: droidradar.com - date: November 17, 2012
I've tried Bobz cm9, cm10, quatrimus cm9, aokp cm9, and ICy Snap cm9 for the VM670...
And EVERY SINGLE ROM has the same native SIP issues: incoming calls work fine, outgoing calls have no audio (mic/speaker). However, using sipdroid for outgoing calls works, but i hate sipdroid and its lame using an additional program just for outgoing calls. And CsipSimple seems to constantly lose connectivity to the sip server.
I know there are voice search issues with many cm9/10 roms (except for ICy Snap, which worked nicely), and everything worked great when using bobz cm7.2.
Anyone have any insight on this issue? I read somewhere that it could be just an incorrect device initialization somewhere in the SIP related code... or since these roms all use kravens kernel, perhaps somewhere in there??? I don't know, but this is driving me nuts.
caveat: i have EXHAUSTIVELY tested every combination of roms/settings/etc, so we can rule out user error. And my pbxes settings are not the issue either.
Another application is currently using SIP port! Can't start!!!

Anyone else constantly getting this pop-up? Its rather annoying and I can't figure out what is causing it.
This is nothing new but I can not find what is causing it to happen.

Voip sip client for Android crossplatform tools for mobile development (Xamarin, C#)Support
location: droidmania.com - date: February 19, 2015
I'm trying to implement voip calling for Android (KitKat / version 4.4) using .net and the sip protocol and I need an open-source C# development library to accomplish my project.
So far, I used this android voip client example, but it seems my trial version will expire soon. Yes, it is... bad news.
By the way, while digging on the Internet, I'm thinking about using closs-platform tools. I'm especially interested in Xamarin that allows development with c#.
Do you have any knowledge about using cross-platform tools for Android-based voip development? Can you recommend me a Xamarin-compliant open-source c# voip library?

Could someone write a tutorial for setting up free voice calling without using VZ minutes or point me to one that works with the Inc? It's kind of confusing because it's not just one app that gets it all going. Help! I'm out of minutes!
